Building a small farm in Maine:
The property started out with a solar shed, I converted it into a tiny home. Next I built a chicken-coop, greenhouse and planted fruit trees. Permitting for the “barndominium” began in 2022, it has living space and an attached grow facility and laboratory. I have always had animals on my homestead (turkeys, ducks, geese the late and great Winston the Cat). Currently I have an adopted dog named Bandit and 10 beautiful Chickens. I grow a lot of my own vegetables and I have fruit trees/ bushes as well! My goal at Mid-Coast Mushrooms is to grow the majority of my food here and provide the community with fresh, nutritious mushrooms!
