Building a small farm in Maine:
It all started with a solar Amish shed. I converted that into a tiny home and started my farming experience including poultry, fruit trees and starting garden beds. Permitting for the “barndominium” began in 2022, it has living space and an attached grow facility/ laboratory. I have always had animals on my homestead (turkeys, ducks, geese, the late and great Winston the Cat). Currently I have an adopted dog named Bandit and 10 beautiful Chickens. I grow a lot of my own vegetables and I have fruit trees/ bushes as well! My goal at Mid-Coast Mushrooms is to grow the majority of my food here and provide the community with fresh, nutritious mushrooms!
